  • About the day

    • You’ll be greeted with tea or coffee on arrival, We’ll spend some time getting to know each other and the team, discuss photographic interests and experience, and you’ll receive a general introduction to photography and the day ahead.
    • An introduction to food styling, prop sourcing and prop styling by food stylist Camilla Wordie.
    • A hands-on tutorial on setting up lighting, food and props, while the team set up the food photography segment. Guests will be shown the step by step process, and given insider tips, and then have an opportunity to photograph the scene themselves with one-on-one guidance.
    • A delicious and delightful, home cooked lunch – prepared by the team.
    • In the afternoon we will be giving a post-processing tutorial on Lightroom, with tips and assistance to edit the day’s photographs.
    • Finishing with a Q&A session at on everything from building your portfolio, social media domination, growing your business, styling tips, prop sourcing, and any other creative and business questions you have.
    • Camera, preferably a DSLR but others fine.
    • Notebook to make notes throughout the day, to take the information you have learned with you.
    • Tripod.
    • Memory Cards.
    • Fully charged batteries.
    • Laptop and be prepared to purchase Adobe Lightroom subscription, if you do not already have it downloaded (we will be giving a demonstration of how to purchase and download in class) Approximate cost is £9.99 a month, however a trial can be used on the day if you need a little more time before signing up.
